What this site is

Eighty Minutes is an index of rugby matches. It records what happened, such as a card, a scrum, a try, and the second of the official broadcast at which it happened, so that a moment can be found and opened. It is a finding aid. It is not a copy of a match and is not a substitute for watching one.

The footage is not here

This site stores and serves no video and no audio. Every moment resolves to the official upload on the rightsholder's own channel, played in that platform's embedded player, delivered from that platform's servers, under that platform's terms. Playback, advertising, view counts and any controls over the upload remain entirely with the rightsholder and the platform.

If a rightsholder removes, restricts or disables embedding on an upload, the moment stops playing here.

The descriptions are ours

Every moment on this site carries a description written for this site. What happened in a match is a matter of fact, and facts are nobody's property: that a penalty was given in the fifty-second minute can be stated by anyone. The particular words a commentator chose to call it are a different thing, and they are not published here.

Where other people are quoted

Some moments show what rugby analysts and pundits said about them. Those are short excerpts, credited to the channel by name, and linked to the source video at the second the words were spoken. They are quoted so that you can go and watch the person who said them.

Names, marks and affiliation

Eighty Minutes is independent. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or connected to World Rugby, any national union, any competition organiser, any broadcaster or any video platform.

Team names, competition names, player names and trademarks belong to their respective owners and appear here only to describe the matches indexed, which is the ordinary descriptive use of a name.

Accuracy

Descriptions are produced by automated analysis of a match and are not always right. Each one is published with the confidence figure behind it rather than presented as certain, and a moment the system could not describe says so instead of guessing. Attributions, timings and scorelines may be wrong. Nothing here is a record of fact, and for anything that matters the footage is the authority, not this index.
